4. SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS
Using a Partitioned System
Introduction
When programming a control unit, there are two ways of changing from a
single system to a partitioned system:
a) during initial power up
b) using Command 98.
To create a partitioned system during initial power up, refer to the 9x5x
Installation Guide.
If you have an existing control unit that has already been programmed as a
single system and wish to convert it to a partitioned system, then:
1. Enter installer mode.
2. Press 98y at the keypad.
The display shows:
Load Default
3. Press 1y at the keypad.
The display shows (for example):
Mult Sys? OFF
4. Either:
Press 1 to create a partitioned system
Or press 0 to create a single system
The display shows (for example):
Mult Sys? ON
5. Press y.
The keypad gives a double "beep" confirmation tone and the control unit
loads the default settings, erasing all previous selections.
